Monetary Donations

SHIP (Samaritan Homeless Interim Program): SHIP serves the homeless, near-homeless, working poor families, and individuals in the Somerset County region who are not able to obtain assistance from government or other private agencies, and are therefore denied an opportunity to receive the basic humane assistance they need and deserve.

We provide SHIP with a monetary donation on Father’s Day. We collect money via a “penny jar”, located in the sanctuary.

The following organizations are supported through donations either directly from our church or our church members:

Pioneer Family Success Center (PFSC): The PFSC’s mission is to provide an environment that strengthens families, empowers individuals, and builds connections among communities across Somerset County.

We support PFSC through our church’s Benevolence Fund. The director of the organization reaches out to us when they have a need and we do our best to support them.

The Cary Christian Center (CCC): The vision of Cary Christain Center is to break the cycles of poverty through relationships; to build serious and significant relationships that are based on biblical principles; and to build relationships with individuals through the various ministries by becoming involved in their lives which ultimately leads them to making healthy choices. We were made aware of this organization through one of our congregants.

Mile Monsters Inc.: This organization consists of a group of long distance motorcycle endurance riders who compete in crazy challenges and races to raise both awareness and money to fight Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). One of our congregants is the founding member of this organization.

SAFE in Hunterdon: serves survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault by providing the resources they need to rebuild their lives and restore safety.

Hurricane’s Helene and Milton Relief: a monetary donation was sent to the Pluckamin Presbyterian Church in a collaborative effort to send a trailer filled with water to Ashville, NC. In addition, a monetary donation was made from the Benevolence Fund to Church World Services to aid in the recovery efforts.
